Totals are the subscription plus marketplace fees, with a CA$60 average first visit and no add-ons. Don't use the marketplace? Read the 0% column. The 25% column is for a business where a quarter of all visits are brand-new clients who found it on Booksy's marketplace.
How the Booksy marketplace fee works
It applies when:
- You turn on Boost, and a new client books you through the Booksy marketplace.
- Booksy charges 30% of that client's first visit, with a CA$10 minimum and a CA$100 maximum. On a CA$60 first visit that's CA$18. It's charged once per client.
It doesn't apply to:
- You never turn Boost on. It's optional.
- Returning clients. Booksy says you keep 100% of any future appointments with a client after the first Boost visit.
Keeping the fee small:
- Leave Boost off, or switch it on only for the weeks you want new clients. Booksy describes it as something you turn on and off.
- Send clients you already have to your own booking link. They are existing clients, not Boost clients.
- If most of your clients come from referrals and repeat visits, the 0% column in the cost table is the one to read.
Card fees in Canada
- Booksy's pricing page doesn't list a card processing rate. It says processing is billed separately from the subscription, so get the current Canadian rate from Booksy before you compare it with another platform.
- We didn't find a payout fee or card reader price on the page either. Treat both as unknown until Booksy confirms them in writing.
What the monthly price doesn't include
- Card processing, which is billed separately and whose rate Booksy does not list.
- Card readers and other hardware.
- Boost fees, if you turn Boost on.
- Sales tax. Booksy's page shows its prices plus tax.
- Anything Booksy sells that isn't on its Canadian pricing page. We only list prices Booksy publishes.
Who Booksy is right for
- Most features are in the one plan, so you want to see the full price on one page without tiers.
- You're new, or new to the area, and want a marketplace that can bring in first-time clients when you choose.
- You run a barbershop or salon with a team of up to 15, where the staff charge stops growing.
Who Booksy is less likely to suit
- You want to know your card processing cost before you sign up, because Booksy does not list it on its pricing page.
- You want no marketplace around your booking page at all.
- You have a small team and want the lowest subscription. Three staff cost CA$69.99 a month before tax, card fees and Boost.

Sources and method
- Booksy prices come from Booksy's Canadian pricing page, checked October 2, 2026. We only publish prices Booksy lists; anything we didn't find says "not listed".
- Booksy's Canadian pricing page shows plain $ amounts and doesn't label the currency. We show them as CA$ because the page is for the Canadian market, and amounts are plus tax, as the page says.
- Monthly costs use the same team sizes, appointment volumes and CA$60 average first visit as our Askie vs Booksy page and the pricing hub. Currency rates, where used elsewhere, were checked October 1, 2026.
