A colour client's return trip

From the first booking to the next one.

  1. 1A client finds you on Google, Instagram, your website, or through a referral.
  2. 2They pick the service and any optional add-ons.
  3. 3Next they select their preferred stylist. The duration, price and buffers apply automatically.
  4. 4Clients complete the booking without downloading an app or creating an account.
  5. 5Before the visit, the stylist can see relevant service history, service notes, and preferences.
  6. 6After the visit, the stylist chooses an appropriate return window.
  7. 7The client may rebook the same service with their usual stylist in just one click.

Protect the time you hold

When a long appointment falls through, you already know who wants it.

Cancellation policies and appointment reminders set the expectation before the day arrives. Processing buffers keep the timing right so one long service does not quietly eat into the next.

Some of it still falls through. A three-hour balayage service cancellation may create a large hole in your calendar, so Askie keeps a waitlist of clients who have already told you what they are waiting for.

What your client sends

Your client picks the service, a preferred stylist if any, and the time windows that work for them. They can add multiple time windows across different days for flexibility.

Client tells you which stylist and hours work.

What your team sees

Your team gets the service, the price, how long they have been waiting, and the note in the client’s own words. Askie checks whether the requested window is actually open. Then staff can book it.

Everything the decision needs, on one screen.

The salon team controls the waitlist match. Askie collects the service, preferred timing, and stylist information needed to make that decision. Nothing books itself.

Context for the next appointment

Your regular should not have to explain everything again.

Keep previous services, preferences, and service notes with the team member doing the work. It makes the next conversation less repetitive for your client and more useful for your stylist.

Teams are rarely one-size-fits-all

Employees and booth renters can work from the same salon.

Full flexibility available for each team member to use their preferred menu or schedule.

  • Separate services, prices, durations, and availability for each stylist.
  • A mixed team of employed stylists and booth renters, all on the shop's shared booking link by default.
  • A renter who wants a fully separate presence can run their own booking link instead — no per-seat fee either way.

Askie supports booth-renter scheduling. Renters share the shop's booking link by default, so clients can see the whole team in one place, while each renter still sets their own services, prices, and availability. Configure availability at a team level or let individual stylists manage their own time. Block off holidays and staff level exceptions in advance for the entire year.

Make it easier to come back

Make the next appointment reminder match the last service.

Single tap access to rebook. Staff choose the expected return timing and decide whether and when to follow up. Clients may rebook their usual stylist with a single tap too.

Illustrative return windows, decided by the stylist for each service.

Reputation where clients search

Build your reputation on Google, not behind another platform's wall.

Your public reputation belongs where local clients can find it. Askie helps make the follow-through practical without choosing which clients get the public review path.

Considering a switch from Fresha?

An honest fit check

Good software starts with knowing what you do not need.

A good fit

  • Canadian, English-speaking hair salons
  • Owner-operated, one location, around 2–10 stylists
  • An established client base where repeat services matter
  • Clients arriving from Google, Instagram, referrals, and word of mouth
  • Mixed teams of employed stylists, independents, and booth renters
  • Owners who want direct client relationships and predictable CAD pricing

Not a fit yet

  • Large multi-location chains
  • Salons needing integrated point of sale, inventory, or backbar management
  • Teams needing automated payroll or commission calculation
  • Salons needing clients to book several separate services in one booking
  • Businesses needing software-enforced consultation or patch-test gates
  • Businesses whose main need is marketplace-based customer acquisition
